Adam Bushnell

16th October 2019

Our old friend, author and story-teller Adam Bushnell, returned this week for a whistle-stop tour around the world.  He helped us delve deeper into each of the countries and continents of our new class names, exploring traditional tales, myths and legends from the Aboriginal Dreamtime stories of Australia, to the gruesome South American folklore of the dreaded El Chupacabra.
Children in every class were inspired to write or tell their own versions of the stories, after drawing and describing characters, creating story maps and playing with words in quick sentence activities.  Adam's visit was rounded off by one of his ever-popular assemblies, in which volunteers from across the Key Stages helped to populate a wild and hilarious tale.  Another inspiring and enjoyable week - thanks Adam!
