Emmaville Primary School

Cross Country

11th September 2019

Our Key Stage Two Cross Country team travelled to Watergate Forest Park, to compete in the Gateshead School Sport Partnerships, annual Cross Country event. It was a beautiful afternoon, which made for excellent spectating from our friends and family members who came along to support.

Our Year 3 and 4 children completed a 1200m loop of the park whilst our Year 5 and 6 ran further, completing 1750m. Competition as always was high, but all children competed with true ‘Emmaville stickability’, running with sheer determination and most importantly with smiles on their faces! A huge well done to each and everyone of them:
Year 3/4 girls: Tilda, Millie, Josie, Mina, Chloe and Megan
Year 3/4 boys: George, Sam, William, Lewis, Finn and Kyle
Year 5/6 girls: Niamh, Maddie, Aliyah, Erin, Emily and Eleanor
Year 5/6 boys: Jamie, Reiley, Dylan, Harvey, Jack and Joseph
A special mention to our Year 3/4 pupils, who came 2nd overall, coming home with silver medals. Also to Niamh for finishing 2nd overall in the Year 5/6 girls race and to her brother Jamie for finishing 3rd overall in the Year 5/6 boys race.

Great running Emmaville. Well done!
