Emmaville Primary School

World Book Day Door Displays

4th March 2022

As this year's World Book Day was the 25th anniversary, each class was challenged to transform their doors into giant book covers.  There was certainly a lot of creativity and artistic skill involved, and by the end of the day, if anyone were to wander down the corridors of Emmaville, they would surely feel like they were able to step through into some fabulous story worlds, from The Jungle Book and The very Hungry Caterpillar to Where The Wild Things Are and The Day The Crayons Quit.

The children also looked amazing in their costumes and enjoyed all of the activities that their teachers had planned for them. In fact, the enjoyment of books has spanned over into activities this week too. We welcomed the West End Theatre group into school to bring alive books such as ‘Where the Wild things are’, ‘The Lorax’, and Rudyard Kipling’s magnificent ‘Jungle Book’.
