Emmaville Primary School

Notice board

A polite reminder to parents and carers that face masks should be worn when entering the school yard, this includes when dropping off and collecting children from breakfast and after school club. We also ask that you still adhere to social distancing measures as set out by the Government. Even though restrictions are being relaxed, we still need to be careful in order to keep everyone in our community safe.

The children in Key Stage 2 are currently participating in the COVID Community Champions initiative, which involves a series of videos and short activities.  School participation in the COVID junior champions programme will encourage the children to play a part in the fight against covid19.  Children having this information and relaying elements back to grown-ups will work towards a healthier wellbeing within the wider community, and will give children the tools to make good choices.

Rainbow Fun Run: The Gateshead School Sports Partnership normally organise a Fun Run that takes place in Saltwell Park during the month of May. However, because of the pandemic it has not been possible to hold the event, so the GSSP have suggested that during the week beginning the 24th May schools host their own RAINBOW FUN RUN. We have therefore decided that the Emmaville Rinbow Fun Run will take place on Thursday 27th May. On this day, let us light up Crawcrook with colours of the RAINBOW by asking the children to come to school in many different coloured items of clothing, of course clothing that is comfortable to run in.

Adam Bushnell - I am delighted to announce that the Key Stage 1 children are going to have the opportunity to work alongside the author Adam Bushnell this term. Adam will be working with the children in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales on Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th May. We always enjoy Adam’s visits to our school and the children learn so much from him.
