We hope that you have enjoyed the Easter break and that you are all well in body and mind. Now that we have begun the summer term, the children can find new activities and suggestions on their class or year-group pages under the 'Pupils' tab. These are by no means compulsory, but may help you to structure the days ahead. The teachers are all missing their classes and very much appreciate communication and updates via the Seesaw app.
Just as important as our physical health at this time of social 'lockdown', is our mental wellbeing. The Children & Young People Mental Health Team for Newcastle Gateshead (RISE) have compiled a list of online resources that may help any of you who need support or advice during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to this, with the inevitable increase in children's online interaction in mind, Northumbria Police have asked us to share information and advice about the possible exposure to 'negative influencers' on the internet. You can download the document here, which includes links to other useful websites. NCA-CEOP, a UK organisation that protects children online and offline, have also produced resources to help children working from home. Use this link to access the resources.
