Thorp Cluster Year 5/6 Basketball Tournament

Well done done to sixteen children from Year 5 who competed in the Year 5/6 basketball tournament at Thorp Academy against other schools and put in excellent performances. The players, who were generally competing against Year 6 children, showed great basketball skills, but also teamwork, commitment and sportsmanship. Every match was very close with a mix of wins, draws and losses, and one of our teams made it to the third placed play-off match. All of the children came away from the tournament having had fun and a great experience, and as always, most importantly, their attitude and behavior was first class. Well done Year 5!
