Day One

We've arrived safely (no travel sickness!), unpacked and made our beds, and are just finishing our packed lunches.  The weather is looking great for this afternoon's activities (hill-side walk and bouldering, high ropes and zip-wire), so we're going to make the most of it while the sun shines.
It's been a busy afternoon for the five groups - three took a walk up a very steep hill to 'weasel' in and out of the boulders at the top, whilst the other two spent time on the high ropes and the zip-wire. Everyone managed to push themselves out of their comfort zones, squeezing themselves through tight spaces and climbing dizzying heights (even some of the big kids...!).  Either way, the views from the top were spectacular.
You didn't think that was it, did you?  After a delicious helping of spag bol and garlic bread, Oceania class went for a mess-about in the local park and Antarctica class had a round of camp fire songs and toasted marsh mallows.  A great way to end a fantastic day.
