Day Three

Wow, what a day we have had!

The sun has certainly shone down over us on our trip to London, and today was no different. After a good sleep, and another delicious breakfast, we made our way to the Tower of London. We had a great time walking round the battlements and spotting the famous tower ravens. We read amazing facts about King’s polar bears and monkeys living in the tower, and also listened to stories of torture and execution, and of course, no visit to the tower would be complete without marvelling at the Crown Jewels.

After we’d finished at the tower, we made our way down to tower pier, where we embarked on our river cruise up the Thames, where we were treated to informative, and funny facts about the sights along the river bank. Our busy day had worked up a healthy attitude for Pizza Express where we enjoyed our final evening meal of the week, before heading on to the absolute spectacle that is the Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre. The costumes and set alone are completely awe inspiring, combined with the amazing acting, dancing and singing, has truly given the children a night to remember.

We are now all safely back in the hotel, with some very tired eyes, and are settling down to enjoy our final nights sleep, before (woop!!!) going to our rescheduled visit to Madame Tussaud’s in the morning. This has obviously changed our plans for the final day, so we will be in touch to communicate what time we leave Madame Tussaud’s, and set off on our journey back up the road, and will try to update you all with an estimated return time when we can.

Once again, we have been so impressed with each and everyone of the children, and have thoroughly enjoyed their company.
