What a fantastic day our Year 6 children have had!
This morning, we headed to the Science Museum, where the children had great fun exploring the exhibits and getting hands-on with lots of interactive displays. There was plenty to see and do, and it was wonderful to see so much curiosity and enthusiasm as they discovered how science shapes the world around us.
One of the highlights of the day was definitely Wonderlab. The children loved getting involved with the experiments, testing things out for themselves and watching some amazing scientific demonstrations. There were lots of excited faces and plenty of "wonder" throughout the visit!
After that, we made our way to the Natural History Museum. From towering dinosaur skeletons to fascinating exhibits about animals, volcanoes and our planet's history, there was so much to explore. The children were full of questions and really enjoyed seeing some of the things they have learned about in school brought to life.
We're now on the bus heading for tea and a well-deserved chill in the park after a busy day of walking, exploring and learning. Everyone is in great spirits, sharing their favourite moments from the day and looking forward to what tomorrow brings.
Another brilliant day of our Year 6 adventure!
After another busy day packed full of activities, we thought things might start to slow down this evening... but we were wrong!
First up was a trip to the Hard Rock Cafe, where everyone enjoyed a well-deserved meal. There was lots of chatting, laughter and comparing stories from the day. The food went down a treat and it was great to see everyone relaxing after such a full-on day.
With energy levels somehow still incredibly high, we headed to the park afterwards. The football quickly got underway, with some impressive skills, plenty of determination and the occasional spectacular miss! There was lots of cheering from the sidelines and everyone had a great time getting involved.
We were also treated to some fantastic gymnastics displays. It was wonderful to see children confidently showing off their talents, with friends gathering round to watch and applaud. The park became our very own outdoor performance arena for a while!
By the time we headed back, everyone had certainly earned a sit down. Perfect timing too, as we were able to settle in and watch the England match together. The room was full of excitement, predictions and plenty of football experts offering their opinions on what England should be doing next!
It's been another brilliant day filled with fun, friendship and memories that will last long after the residential is over. The children continue to be fantastic ambassadors for the school and are making the most of every opportunity.
Now it's time to recharge the batteries before tomorrow's adventures begin.
