Curriculum Enrichment

"The national curriculum is just one element in the education of every child. There is time and space in the school day and in each week, term and year to range beyond the national curriculum specifications." - National Curriculum in England Framework document, September 2013.

At Emmaville we strongly believe in the importance of developing children's 'life skills' through a variety of experiences and activities, both within and outside of the school grounds. These include: our 'Curriculum Enrichment' weeks; visits to the school by foreign language specialists, storytellers, authors and poets, sports coaches, theatre groups etc.; participation in a range of sports, dance and music competitions and festivals; educational visits; an active Fairtrade committee and a range of residential visits in the UK and overseas.
