Day One

And we’re off! After an early start, lots of cuddles and fond farewells, we set off on our adventure to the capital city. The children have been full of smiles and laughter on the way down, and we have just stopped at Peterborough for some lunch after making great time down the A1. We are now back on the bus, and on the final leg of our journey. We will update when we can, as we know you will be looking forward to hear about how the adventures progress.
After a really smooth journey down, we arrived at London in great time and made our way straight to Horizon 22. What a place! This was the first time we have incorporated this into our tour of London, and certainly will be a place to revisit. We were treated to spectacular panoramic views of the capital city, made all the better by the glorious sunshine!

After that, Tony, our lovely coach driver, took the children to see some of the sights on the bus, travelling over Tower Bridge, before stopping just outside St Paul's Cathedral where we had a few games in the park. Finally, tummies were rumbling, and we were treated to a delicious meal at Cafe Rouge. The chocolate fondant cakes were a particular hit amongst the children!

Everyone is now settled in their rooms, and hopefully sleep will be coming for all soon! A great first day all round. Thank you for the comments so far; it is always so lovely to hear the updates.

We will be back tomorrow with the next leg of adventures!
