Diary Dates
The following are some of the enrichment activities that the children have taken part in or will be participating in this half term.
 
Tuesday 28th September – Year 6 pupils to visit the Victorian Tunnel in Newcastle to support their work on a local history study
Wednesday 29th September – Year 2 pupils to visit Thorp Academy for an outdoor Sport Festival Monday
4th October – Friday 8th October – National Poetry Week where the children will be following in the footsteps of some of the world’s finest poets
Tuesday 5th October – Year 3, 4 & 5 pupils will participate in a ‘Book Wandering’ session with author Anna James. (A virtual workshop organised through Seven Stories.)
Wednesday 6th October – Year 4 pupils to visit Thorp Academy for an outdoor Sport Festival
Thursday 7th October – Pupils from Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 will be competing in Gateshead’s School’s Partnership’s Cross-Country event
Tuesday 12th October – Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 pupils will participate in ‘A Counting Book with BITE session with author Ross Montgomery & Sarah Warbutton. (A virtual workshop organised through Seven Stories.)
Wednesday 13th October – Year 6 to visit Thorp Academy for an outdoor Sport Festival
Tuesday 19th October – The School Nursing Team will be in school to give the children the Flu Vaccinations
Wednesday 20th October – Year 3, 4, & 5 pupils will participate in ‘Dragon Adventures’ with author Cornelia Funke & Katie and Kevin Tsang. (A virtual workshop organised through Seven Stories.)
Thursday 21st October - Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 pupils will participate in ‘The Three Little Vikings’ virtual workshop, organised through Seven Stories
Friday 22nd October – School closed to the children as the teaching staff will be participating in a Professional Development Day
Half-Term holiday – Monday 25th October – Friday 29th October
School reopens on Monday 1st November
