Online Safety

Being online is now a fundamental part of children and young people’s lives. Social media, online games, websites and apps can be accessed through mobile phones, computers, laptops and tablets – all of which form a part of children and young people’s online world.

The internet and online technology provides new opportunities for young people’s learning and growth, but it can also expose them to new types of risks, so now more than ever, safeguarding our children during their time online is of paramount importance.

With this in mind, parents will now receive a newsletter from school that will contain advice about keeping their children safe whilst online; the newsletters will also become available on this page. Below, you can find a link to an Online Safety booklet, which has been produced for us to include an overview of key parental controls. This will be updated on an annual basis (next update scheduled July 2022).
