Emmaville Primary School

Day 3

The children slept soundly, and are refreshed for another great day in London. It is a beautiful day, and the sun is shining for us again. After another delicious breakfast, we are currently on the coach on the way to the Tower of London. Check in again soon!
Please don’t worry if your comment doesn’t show on the website; it is a little glitchy appearing on there, but please be assured they all come through to the admin page so we see them all. Thanks again for all of the lovely comments for your children; they have been a credit to you all.
Wow, what a fantastic day we have had today!
It started with a visit to the Tower of London, where we were dazzled by the beautiful Crown Jewels. We then explored the prisoners basement, and learnt about a number of people who had been held in the Tower, before finally climbing the Bloody Tower, where we watched a film about a Tower mystery.
From here, we made our way to Tower pier to join our boat for the Thames cruise. The weather couldn’t have been nicer, and the sights of embankment looked stunning under the sun’s rays as we sailed along the river. We had a very informative tour commentary, and we all learned lots about the Thames and the surrounding buildings. From here, we made our way to the opposite side of the river, and had a great time playing in Jubilee Park.
After another delicious meal - we have eaten like royalty in our time here - we arrived at the Shaftesbury Theatre for a performance of Mrs Doubtfire, and what an amazing show it was! The children laughed and giggled their way through the whole performance as we were treated to brilliant acting, dancing and impressions throughout.

The teachers also enjoyed a bit of celeb spotting in the audience, as in watching the same performance as us was multiple famous faces including Dame Kelly Holmes, Ainsley Harriett and Annabel Croft! They’d all clearly heard Emmaville Primary School were turning up tonight!
We just want to reiterate how brilliant the children have been, and in almost every place we have visited, we have been complimented on their behaviour - absolute stars
