Day Three

allow-comments

After the excitement of England’s fantastic win, getting to sleep was a little more challenging than usual, but it was certainly worth it! Thankfully, a good night’s rest eventually followed, and we were ready to start the day with another excellent breakfast.

Today has been all about exploring one of London’s most iconic landmarks, the Tower of London. From the fascinating history and stories of kings, queens, and prisoners to seeing the Crown Jewels up close, it has been a memorable and enjoyable day for everyone.

We’re now looking forward to making the most of the rest of the day before heading out to the theatre this evening for what promises to be another highlight of our stay.

After the tower, we stopped for an ice lolly break and then ventured towards Tower Pier to climb aboard the boat cruise along the Thames. We were treated to live commentary, explaining the different landmarks, and were commended for our enthusiasm and behaviour.

After a lovely tea at Pizza Express, the highlight of the evening was watching Hercules at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. The performance was absolutely brilliant and had everyone entertained from start to finish. There were plenty of smiles, laughter and singing along as we enjoyed this spectacular show.

We are now back at the hotel, getting packed up and ready for bed ahead of our journey home tomorrow. It has been another fantastic day and we can’t believe how quickly it’s gone. I think some children may sleep for the full weekend…!
