Day 2

allow-comments
Good afternoon from sunny London!

We started the morning with a delicious breakfast, which the children thoroughly enjoyed - cereal, sausages, bacon and more sachets of Nutella than we dared to count! This left us feeling ready for the day and we set off in the sunshine to the Science Museum. Here, we entered the wonderlab where the children explored many scientific exhibits, and used their science knowledge to try and figure out why different things were happening!

After a trip to the gift shop and some lunch, we’re back on the bus heading to Madame Tussauds, which the children are very excited about. We will update again later, and add photos when we can!
Madame Tussaud’s was just as fun as the children hoped it would be, and the “Swifties” and Harry Styles fans were in their element, as well as lots of opportunities for photos with sports stars, the royal family, marvel characters and much more. We then travelled through history on a London cab style ride, seeing models from each part in British history. Finally, we finished with a 4D cinema style show which involved all of our favourite Marvel characters!
Once we had explored the gift shop in Madame Tussaud’s, we then went for some down time in Hyde Park, where the children played football, rounders and created all sorts of dance routines, whilst the sun continued to shine. We were booked in for a later tea tonight, so we all enjoyed an ice cream treat before a wander along to Buckingham Palace. The flag was flying high, but sadly the royal family didn’t hear our hellos to give us a wave!

We finished a very busy day with a delicious meal at the Hard Rock Cafe in Piccadilly. Ophelia’s watch told us that the day finished on 21,188 steps! Everyone should certainly sleep well tonight!

We will get everyone settled and into bed and then I’ll add the pictures. Thanks for all your lovely comments; the children certainly love hearing them.
