A second excellent week in Year 2 done – well done again everyone!
This week we used the book, ‘Traction Man’, to inspire out English work – we have created a story map for the text, learnt actions and retold the story using these things to help us. We have also been working on using our story tellers voice when retelling the story.
On the very first page of our English books we have created our own superheroes and added labels to explain their powers and special outfit features.

What a fantastic first week back we have had, Mrs Graham and I have been so impressed by how well everyone has settled into Year 2 – well done!
We have had a week full of superheroes, card making, team-building, map work and producing fantastic artwork.
We studied Irish Artist, James Kelly and looked at his block art landmark works then we created our own block art using John Kindness ‘Big Fish’ as our inspiration.
