Week ending 2nd October 2026
This week we have been learning a Harvest song for our assembly on Friday. I was so impressed with how courageous and brave the children were in standing up in front of all the children and singing the song - they all used their best singing voices!
In golden time on Friday, we made some Halloween-themed crafts - pumpkins! I can't wait to see the children's finished pumpkins on Monday.
Week ending 25th September 2026
This week, we had the pleasure of taking part in a music workshop. The theme of the morning was Bob Marley! We sang lots of songs and many of our children were brave enough to stand up in front of Year 2 and Year 3.
On Friday, we took part in a Rainbow Fun Run. We ran around the perimeter of our school and cheered on our friends from the other classes. I am so proud of our class and it is a privilege to teach a lovely group of children!
Week ending 18th September 2026
This week in Scotland class, we have started our new science topic, all about the weather! We took part in a mini experiment where we investigated the rain drops from a cloud. This was done with shaving foam, water and a beaker! The children were very knowledgeable and could recall lots of weather facts.
In golden time, we used some puffy paint to carefully paint a picture. The children were very precise and their paintings were very neat! We of course, ended the day with some dough disco.
Week ending 11th September 2026
Another fun-filled week here in Scotland class!
In PE this week, we have started our 'Team building' unit where we must work together to solve different challenges. The children were very resilient in completing the activities and stayed composed even when they were tricky!
On Friday, we took part in some games for our PSHE lesson. We had to create a spiders web and to do this, we had to give each other a compliment. I was so impressed with how thoughtful the children were in giving their compliments to each other.
Well done Scotland class!
Week ending 4th September 2026
Wow - what a fantastic first week! I have had the best week with all of the children and they have settled in so well. We have chosen, made arts & crafts and have had our first ever Celebration Assembly!
Well done Scotland class. I can't wait for this year with you all.
