We have been so impressed, but not surprised, at not only the amazing learning you have been doing at home but also the creative ways you have been doing it, and wanted to celebrate this with a weekly ‘Celebration Gallery’. Please find below a collection of our ‘Works of Art’.

The winner of the competition was Logan! I particularly liked the night vision element to this design.

On Thursday, we celebrated World Book Day virtually as a class. We all dressed up as our favourite characters from our favourite books and shared what we loved to read. Here are some of the amazing competition entries we have had so far for our story in a box competition. I am looking forward to seeing more of the entries that may come through.

History

After a fantastic history live lesson  which was led by the children on Tuesday, Billy produced this amazing castle that he thought Queen Elizabeth I might have lived or stayed in. We found out that she liked to visit many castles and grand houses. We have completed lots of fact files and resources to give to the historian Jeff Hanks who had lost all of his information about Queen Elizabeth I at the London History Museum.
Science

Oliver produced this week some amazing Science work where we have been looking at observing animals as an introuduction to our new Science topic. He even was able to use his nocturnal camera to capture some animals at night!
Jack's amazing rainbow scavenger hunt linked to our Pippety Skycap English work.
Charlie's amazing fact file about Queen Elizabeth the First.
Here are some amazing pieces of work the Year 1 children have completed this half-term during home learning.
